Since 2007, Kaitlin McGaw has used hip hop inspired music and movement to bring learning to life in classrooms and performance spaces for kids and families.
The founder of Alphabet Rockers, Kaitlin has been a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, performed sold-out family concerts in the Bay Area, New York and Boston, and has designed shows for family audiences around nutrition and bullying prevention. The group has received multiple awards from the Parents' Choice Foundation, Education.com, and 4-stars from Common Sense Media. Additionally, she is a featured presenter on music integration for Kindergarten Conferences in Northern and Southern CA, the SFUSD Arts Coordinators, and the West Coast Songwriters.
Kaitlin offers an engaging curriculum that involves all learners in pre K-2nd grade classrooms, customized to units of study such as science, math, sight words, and early literacy. She also specializes in cultivating individual expression through singing, writing and dancing for students of all ages. She received a BA in African-American Studies from Harvard University and has pursued studies in the Integrated Learning Specialist Program in Alameda County.
