Eric Levintow

CLASSES

Eric Levintow is a classically trained singer, guitarist, and teacher from the San Francisco Bay Area. Eric has been performing in opera, choral music, and musical theater for almost 10 years in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.  In addition to singing, Eric also has a strong background in jazz guitar and plays in various pit orchestras. He received his B.A. in Political Science from San Francisco State University and his M.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Much of Eric’s choral background and teaching strategies are rooted in the Kodály Method, which implements solfège, hand signs, rhythmic variations, and social music making to strengthen music fundamentals. But most importantly, he believes that music and storytelling have the power to bring people together, one voice at a time.
