Elena Ruggiero

Elena Ruggiero is a Bay Area native who has been a teaching artist & musical theatre choreographer for over 10 years. After receiving her BA in Musical Theatre from the University of Redlands in SoCal, she returned to San Francisco where she studied primarily at Jean Shelton Actor’s Lab and Berkeley Rep. An instructor offered her the opportunity to teach children and has been doing so ever since. She has worked for various organizations such as New Conservatory Theatre, Linda Bulgo’s Musical Productions, St. Finn Barr Elementary School, Peninsula Ballet Theatre and Abbott Middle School. Elena is outgoing and energetic and encourages her students to explore and enjoy the many realms of theatre. As an actor herself, she understands the value of art form and hopes to pass that knowledge on to her students to instill confidence, strengthen community and build awareness.
