Rebekah kim

Rebekah Kim is a Mexican-Korean American artist and art educator based in the Bay Area. Working primarily in painting and sculpture, her artistic practice centers on close observation of everyday environments shaped by systems of labor, consumption, and care. Through depictions of institutional spaces, domestic objects, and altered landscapes, she explores how routine encounters with place shape memory, identity, and lived experience.

Rebekah brings this observational and process-driven approach into her teaching. She has worked as a Studio Art Educator and Gallery Teacher at the San José Museum of Art and holds a BA in Studio Art from Santa Clara University. Her pedagogical approach emphasizes experimentation, thoughtful making, and self-expression, encouraging students to slow down, engage with materials, and build confidence through the creative process.
